Improving the service life of horizontal band saw
Band saws are mainly used for cutting steel billets, iron plates, seamless steel pipes and various black or non-ferrous metal materials. The equipment is mainly composed of a bed, a transmission wheel, a cylinder saw blade, a workbench, a control system, a guide device slide, a tool holder, and various operating handles. The saw frame of a horizontal band saw is arranged horizontally or tilted, and feeds in a vertical direction or in a swinging direction around a pivot. The saw belt is generally twisted 40° to keep the saw teeth perpendicular to the workpiece. The ring saw belt is tensioned on two saw wheels, and the saw wheel drives the saw belt to perform cutting operations.
As we all know, the band saw blades of most band saws are blunt on the outside. Poor clamping may cause the saw blade to not enter a vertical state. If the outside is too strenuous, it will be damaged, and sawing slant and other faults will occur. The following is an analysis of various faults that occur during the sawing process:
Reason 1: Human factors,
Problems that occur during operation, the proportion of sawing slant due to operational errors accounts for more than 90%. Correct and standardized operation is an effective way to prevent sawing slant.
Reason 2: The reason of the metal band saw itself.
When the hydraulic system leaks or the speed control valve is out of control, the saw frame will not be able to descend smoothly, the saw belt will vibrate while cutting, and the saw will be skewed.
